The Punk 05:20
Treat me like a slave You don’t know what I’m feeling Forever acting as the brave I’ll watch you retreating You’ve had you’re chance You’ll have one more Get down on the floor Call me the punk and I’ll show you why Blew your last chance Now you know what I’ll do Lie there whilst I get my tools I’ve waited my life to torture you Always acting as the boss But I am not your slave What happened to you being brave? Call me the punk and I’ll show you why Call me the punk there’s no guessing why Call me the punk and it’s your turn to Die, die, die, die, die, die, die!

Take this ignoramus [SCREAMS] I’m on a killing spree and I won’t stop Until my blood lust is satisfied I’m on a killing spree and I warn you Try to stop me you’ll be feeling me wrath – I’m a killer! You think you know me? You think you know me? You think you know me? I slaughtered your babies! [SCREAMS] I’m on a killing spree and I won’t stop Until my craving for oxygenatedredbloodcells is fulfilled I’m on a killing spree and I warn you You can’t stop me; I’m like the Zodiac without cryptic messages K.I.L.L. Killer-Killer-Killer-Kill! K.I.L.L. Killer-Killer-Killer-Kill!

[Ballad] It started with fantasies, of squashing little bugs Soon my demons grew too tall and turned into ugly slugs Without a motive without a thought I turned my back to you You’re the World and I am Hell – hear this little girl! Fascination in terrorism; poetic justice I believe Morbid tendencies doth quip and tremble from their knees No touching the void no paralysis, I’m evil incarnate My happiest day was discovering the taste of my only sister’s blood [Bill rapping section] P to the H to the I, L, I, P – Pip-pip-pip-pip-Pippen Pippen Why-oh-why wait stop McCrippen - Fell face down, get up with the rhythm Livin’ up North ain’t quite like down South You got the same old joints but very different broads Slough massive days – hangin’ with the crew Times have a changed, singing a new tune Those were the days when friends were friends Your brother is your brother that is that to all ends You get in with new people who really think they’re big Differences start croppin’ up – hey hell that’s life roll the bones No pun intended ‘cos puns I’m past – How long do you think this friendship’s gonna last? You say I need discipline well screw you Heart I’d rather join the navy than go near your art Programmin’ ain’t helpin’ it’s more light relief Let Jonty do all the work – oh, who the hell is he? Jazz you think is the way to go and synthesizers – please We did one of ‘em in ‘69 and the other is tomorrows history So good luck with your future work – and brother, you too Be pleased I don’t hate you both the same otherwise Serial killer would be my legacy Bounce!

about

Originally intended as a double album, gives some insight into Heart and Pippen's tenuous relationship by 1985. Problems were rising financially, creatively and in Bill's case, mentally. The story behind 'The Pulp' is well known; written entirely by Pippen the day after the infamous "pulping incident" of March 29; by April 2nd the album was recorded, mixed and despatched to FTRO with the strictest instructions to release immediately as the next Bill & Bob album.
Pippen had clearly gone power-crazy but the band wouldn't dissolve until a week into their newly dubbed "Live Killers" tour. Over a month after its release, Bob found out live on stage his bandmate had gone over his head, releasing The Pulp without his contribution "A Negative Loss". That had been left unfinished several weeks earlier due to unworkable creative differences and wouldn't be heard in it's entirety until 2008. It's their most controversial album to date, a dark insight into an unstable mind but, as Bob conceded upon the recent release of A Negative Loss: "probably our most consistent album"
