What one could call "classic Heart." In the vein of many Bill & Bob favourites, 'You're Not Ready' demonstrates the simplicity that made a good rock song back in the day. The formula would prove successful in future single Master Of The Mob, yet it's the visceral lyrics that really set this track apart. A powerful end to a forgotten album.
lyrics
Power to a powerless mind
Brainwaves spreading through time
Hatred is all that you feel
Daydream of an endless mime
You’re not ready
Not ready to hide
You’re not ready
Not ready for time
Burning on an open fire
Memories of times gone by
Bleeding from an open wound
Just like when you were born you silly fool!
You’re not ready
Not ready to hide
You’re not ready
Not ready for time
SOLO!
Power to a powerless mind
Brainwaves spreading through time
Hatred is all that you feel
But what do you expect when you know I’m turning the wheel!
You’re not ready
Not ready to hide
You’re not ready
Not ready for time
etc…
